There exists places in the world where people never stray. They are places where time has no meaning, and nature is the very thing that people owe any sort of allegiance to. There are no gods and no kings. These are places in which the spirits of long dead soldiers and fighters for freedom reside to stand vigilant in reverence to their astral domain.

What look to be deserted worlds are in fact bustling metropolises for the restless dead, carrying on what mundane business ties them to the world. But they have no heaven, no paradise. They are trapped within a dimension of immense liminality, of which things to them look familiar and yet oddly alien.

They feed from the sugar sap that is provided from these seemingly dead trees that permeate any remaining man-made structures, now of which are lost to time and the elements. Ironically, there is a certain life to this dead spirit world. The lands themselves are alive with creatures dwelling within the loam, as well as hidden deep within the roots and branches of the trees. The trees give these spirit warriors life beyond death in an existence mirroring what they once had and fought for.

While this isn't a place for mortal men to tread, there are times when the storms come in that distract these warrior spirits from their routine tasks. It is said, that on these nights, should you find yourself walking amongst the ruinous towers during a desert thunderstorm, you can hear the soft horns of the ghostly orchestra as they compose long into the stormy night...

A subtle, minimal take on Ambient Americana... The album page claims "Dark Ambient," but there is a brightness and beauty here that belies the darkness.
